Corrections

  • Wayne Barker comes from Broome in the Kimberley, not the Pilbara as indicated.
  • Several films mentioned in the text were incorrectly attributed to Wayne Barker as the writer / director. 'Night Cries' was written & directed by Tracey Moffatt, and 'Back Roads' was co-written by Phillip Noyce and Gary Foley, directed by P. Noyce. 'From Sand to Celluloid' was the title of a package of 6 short films that involved Indigenous Australians, produced by the Australian Film Commission and distributed by the Australian Film Institute. We sincerely apologise to Mr Barker, and the other artists for these errors.
